Experience

VMware - Staff 2 Product Designer (2021 – 2024)

• Lead designer for Tanzu Hub, an integrated cloud management platform with a modern, dynamic interface and AI driven assistant. The Hub provides information and insights for customers managing large scale multi-cloud environments.

• Project leader for design pattern library of Figma components. This was a large-scale effort that resulted in the alignment of 80+ designers and developers working on 12 product teams that integrated into the Hub platform. I ran sprints for 25+ designers and built an active design community through meetings and social channels.

• Designed the onboarding system for new users to ensure an easy experience for new users. This supported a free trial system that allowed customers to test the Hub platform with two of their own cloud accounts.

• Established an inclusive design culture where all designers seek out and incorporate feedback from customers and cross functional teams. I ran design reviews for a global team, and championed psychological safety for designers to ensure we stayed creative and innovative.

• Aligned cross functional teams by creating and communicating north star product visions and user stories. Used data-driven design practices by conducting customer interviews and research studies to ensure our designs were validated and aligned with business strategy.

VMware - Staff Product Designer (2007 – 2021)

• Lead designer for vRealize Cloud Assembly, a highly technical product that allows customers to automate creation and management of virtual machines and applications.

• Lead designer for VMware Site Recovery Manager, a system to replicate, protect, and recover large-scale datacenters.

• Designer for vSphere Mobile Watchlist, a mobile app for managing virtual machines.

Saba Software - Senior UX Designer

• Lead designer for Centra suite of real-time collaboration products including virtual classrooms, online meetings, and large web seminars.
